| STRYPER: US hard rockers, STRYPER - have rescheduled their Australian Tour for April - to August 2010. Ticket holders can use their tickets for the August shows. Part of the bands' - "25th Anniversary" Tour, this will be STRYPER's second visit to Australia for their 2nd tour 'down under'. STRYPER last toured Australia in 1986, promoting their,"To Hell With The Devil" album release, which spawned to hit singles, 'Free' and 'Honestly' as well as the dynamic title track. The band's latest CD, "Murder By Pride" - was released in October 2009 with the band delivering another very good release, following up their return 'come-back' CD of 2005 titled, "Reborn" - which also delivered a fine product. | ACCEPT: Reformed German heavy metal 'legends' ACCEPT- will release their long awaited comeback album which is titled, "Blood of the Nations" - Europe Aug. 22. The band have just signed a deal with Nuclear Blast records. Accept recorded the new album at Backstage Studio in Derbyshire, England with acclaimed British producer and Sabbat guitarist Andy Sneap (Megadeth, Exodus, Arch Enemy, Nevermore). "Blood Of The Nations" will mark the recording debut of the band's new lead singer, Mark Tornillo (ex-TT Quick) — and will include 14 songs. Some of the confirmed song titles for the new CD are:Teutonic Terror, Pandemic, Shades Of Death, The Abyss and the title track. The album will be released in the spring of 2010 via an as-yet-undetermined record label. The new line-up will make its live debut on May 8 at New York's Gramercy Theater. | BUCKCHERRY: US sleaze rockers Buckcherry - release a new album, "All Night Long" - August 3rd in North America via original independent label, Eleven Seven Music. The band is currently in the studio putting the finishing touches on the record with producers Marti Frederiksen (who produced CD, 'Black Butterfly') and guitarist/songwriter Keith Nelson. The title track from the new album, has been released as the first single, 'All Night Long'. |
| BLACK LABEL SOCIETY: Zakk Wylde's BLACK LABEL SOCIETY will release their latest album titled, "Order Of The Black" released in Australia/New Zealand on August 8.

| IRON MAIDEN: British metal 'legends' IRON MAIDEN - will release a new CD titled, "The Final Frontier" - the bands' 15th studio album. | JOURNEY: Journey vocalist Arnel Pineda has once again stepped in to deny rumors he had left the band. Speaking on Pilipino TV last week the singer confirmed his involvement in the band and their new record, which has been largely completed under the guidance on producer Kevin Shirley in San Francisco. Shirley worked with the band on their hit, "Revelation" album. It is rumored former vocalist Steve Perry recently handed Kevin Shirley solo material to mix and master. Pineda commented that he contributed songwriting on two songs for the as yet untitled new Journey album, due for release in 2011, after finishing touches and mixing take place in November. The songs To Whom It May Concern and She's A Mystery join 9 other confirmed tracks in play. |
| DRAGONFORCE: Power metallers, DRAGONFORCE - release a new 2CD set, "Twilight Dementia" - which documents their 'Ultra Beatdown' tour. The tour ran from 2008 through 2009 and includes tracks from all of the band's albums, including the hit 'Through the Fire and the Flames', which was featured on Guitar Hero. The two-disc affair will be unleashed on September 14.
"Twilight Dementia" was produced by Karl Groom along with band guitarists Herman Li and Sam Totman. | GROWN UPS: The new film titled, "Grown Ups" - which stars actor Adam Sandler who has always had a knack for including standout classic rock tunes in his movies. In his latest flick, is no different as TRIUMPH's hard rocking, “Lay it on the Line” is included in the movie, which opened June 25 and will be released in Europe In the late summer.
“Greatest Hits: Remixed" was released throughout Europe on Frontiers in May. All of Triumph's classic tunes that were - and continue to be - in heavy rotation on rock radio (and the early days of MTV) are included here, namely, the aforementioned “Lay it on the Line,” as well as “Hold On,” “Fight the Good Fight,” “Magic Power,” etc. Another act, 707 have their rock hit, "I Could Be Good For You" is also featured in the new Adam Sandler film "Grown Ups" and on the Soundtrack. |

| VAN HALEN: Van Halen are indeed working towards finishing recording of a long awaited new studio album with David Lee Roth, set for release sometime in the first half of 2011. A single is slated for release before the end of this year, but exact timing still remains very much up in the air. I'm told the relationship between Eddie and Dave remains as complex as ever, but there is a definite desire to get a new record completed.
Incidentally -Santana will cover the Van Halen classic Dance The Night Away on his next album of tracks featuring different singers (no word on the vocalist). Stay tuned ... |
| L.A GUNS: The Tracii Guns version of L.A. GUNS - will tour Australia in September, performing in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne - over 3 nights.

| ROADKILL: Tasmanian based hard rockers, ROADKILL - played their 'final show' for the next few months on June 3 at the Brisbane Hotel, in Hobart. The night also celebrated the 5 YEAR 'On Air' anniversary of the 'Killawatts Radio Show' - which has been heard via Hobart's edge radio 99.3 FM since 2005.
ROADKILL finally returned to Live performances in February 2010, after a 12 month break in activity due to 2 seperate car accidents and a band members heart problems. ROADKILL have played a number of acoustic 'unplugged' gigs, so the June 3 show was the only Hobart show in full electric mode until late September. During the next 3 months, ROADKILL will be bunkered down writing and recording, during the winter months and should return in August or September for shows to promote an up-coming CD, still untitled at this stage - which should see release before year's end or early 2011. New line-up is: Neil Steel - vocals, Zig - guitars, Sheppo - bass and new members, James Basser - guitars, Brendan 'Squid' Shelverton - drums. | TYRANT: Over the next few months, vocalist Neil Steel - will be dedicating some of his time to his old school metal act, TYRANT - who are putting the finishing touches to their brand new CD, "Save The Devil" - which is set for release in October/November 2010.
Recorded and produced in Tasmania, at Izaneer studios by producer Brett Collidge - "Save The Devil" looks set to have the following track listing: 1. Lay Down The Law, 2. Defenders Of The Faith, 3. Devil Woman, 4. Fire In The Sky, 5. Runnin' From The Law. There is a possibility that the following tunes, Youngblood, Courage Of The Heart, Day After Day and a new version of, Killing Machine - may also be added making the EP into a full length album. A new song from the CD titled, 'Fire In The Sky' - has been uploaded to the bands' my space page. This will be TYRANT's first studio release in 7 years, their last studio product being the, "Thunder Down Under" released in 2003.
