| STRYPER: US hard rockers, STRYPER - have announced Australian Tour dates for April 2010. As part of the bands' up-coming, "25th Anniversray" Tour, STRYPER will return to Australia for their 2nd tour 'down under'. STRYPER last toured Australia in 1986, promoting their,"To Hell With The Devil" album release, which spawned to hit singles, 'Free' and 'Honestly' as well as the dynamic title track. The band's latest product, "Murder By Pride" - was released in October 2009 with the band delivering another very good release, following up STRYPER's return 'come-back' album of 2005 titled, "Reborn" - which also delivered a good product. | VINCE NEIL: While MOTLEY CRUE were 'off the road' - lead vocalist, VINCE NEIL has been recording his 3rd solo album, which is set to appear in April 2010 to be titled, "Tattoos & Tequila".
Along with Neil is, bassist Dana Strum and Jeff Blando (Slaughter) and drummer Zoltan Chaney. Vince Neil has released two 'solo' albums during his career, when outsted from MOTLEY CRUE in the early 90's - "Exposed" ('93) and "Carved In Stone" ('95). The first solo CD contained the hit single, 'You're Invited (But Your Friend Can't Come)' - which was featured in the motion picture soundtrack - "Encino Man" starring a young Brendan Frasier (THE MUMMY). |

| ARMORED SAINT: Los Angeles metal legends, Armored Saint have announced the tracklisting for the band's up-coming, recently completed new studio album, "La Raza", the band's first new album since 2001's "Nod to the Old School". | DREAM EVIL: Swedish metallers DREAM EVIL will release their new studio album, "In The Night", via Century Media Records in late January in Europe and the USA. | ROADKILL: Tasmanian based hard rockers, ROADKILL - will make their 'LIVE' return, albeit with an acoustic "UNPLUGGED" show on Sunday February 7, at the 'Alley Cat Bar' in Hobart (Tasmania). Special guest for the show will be female German solo artist, ANNE PERU. The last 18 months have seen the band virtually 'off the road' for an extended period, due to 2 seperate car accidents, as well as their former drummer, leaving the band due to heart problems! ROADKILL have recently added a second guitarist, James Basser - to the line-up and he will make his debut at the Feb 7 show. The band will return to full 'electric' mode - as a 5 piece outfit in March, with a new recorded version of their song, 'Ribbed For Your Pleasure' - to be posted on the bands' my space page - to replace the current 2009 Demo version. ROADKILL will record throughout 2010 with a new CD expected by years end. |

| JUDAS PRIEST: British metal kings, JUDAS PRIEST - were honored with a Grammy in the "Best Metal Performance" category at the 52nd annual Grammy Awards, (Sunday, January 31) at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. JUDAS PRIEST was nominated for the track "Dissident Aggressor", from the band's 2009 live album, "A Touch of Evil: Live". The band's lead vocalist Rob Halford and drummer Scott Travis accepted the award at the event.
In his acceptance speech, Halford said, "The fifth time is the charm." Halford mentioned that PRIEST have been making metal for 25 years and that they still love what they do. He also remembered to thank all the radio stations and press that have supported the band, and he dedicated the award to all heavy metal fans. | VAN HALEN: Online retailers in Europe have listed a new Van Halen DVD - "Live From The Molson Amphitheatre 1995." While it is a killer show.... an official release would be brilliant, but with the band's current line-up concentrating on the DLR era, it seems this is not an official Warner release. The DVD is of the band's much acclaimed 1995 Toronto performance with Sammy Hagar in the closing stages of the Balance tour. | SCORPIONS: Germany's 'legendary' veteran hard rockers, SCORPIONS - are set to release a new studio album on March 19 titled, "Sting In The Tail" - which will be the bands' final release! The band have stated that they want to end the Scorpion's extraordinary career on a high note. The bands' most recent release, "Humanity Hour 1" followed up their "Unbreakable" release which saw the band back to their 'old style' stomping hard rock again after a number of ballad orientated album releases. SCORPIONS will embark on a World Tour in support of their “Sting in the Tail” release - which will hopefully see the band finally tour Australia?! |

| MEGADETH: US metal merchants MEGADETH are gearing up for a US tour that will celebrate the '20th Anniversary' of their "Rust In Peace" album. Special guests for the tour are TESTAMENT and EXODUS. MEGADETH will enter the studio, later in the year to record a follow-up to their recent, very successful 2009 "Endgame" release. |
| RATT: Los Angeles veteran re-formed hard rockers, RATT - have a audio sample of "Best Of Me", the first single from the forthcoming RATT album, "Infestation", is available for streaming at the bands my space page. The track is expected to be released digitally on February 1.
"Infestation" will be released on April 20 via Loud & Proud/Roadrunner Records. Other songtitles set to appear on the CD include "Look Out Below", "A Little Too Much" and "Garden Of Eden". The band's first studio CD in 10 years, "Infestation" was produced by Michael "Elvis" Baskette (ALTER BRIDGE). The new CD is describde as cross between 1984's "Out Of The Cellar" and 1985's "Invasion Of Your Privacy" — marked the first time the group had stepped outside of Los Angeles to track a new CD in 20-plus years. |
